Team - Clark Power Skating Calgary

Assistant Instructors

One of the strengths of Clark Power Skating is the Assistant Instructors that help on the ice.  They are high level players with many years of training and extensive knowledge in power skating, and in their sports of hockey or ringette.

They are all passionate focused teachers that love to share their knowledge of their sports.  Some of the instructors have been teaching in the program since 2008 when Clark Power Skating began!

We want skaters to be inspired and encouraged to work hard and challenge themselves.  The ultimate goal is that every skater improves their skating technique, skills and confidence every camp.

“Teaching is an instinctual art, mindful of potential, craving of realizations, a pausing, seamless process.”

A. Bartlett Giamatti

How Power Skating Works…

As you master the basics of skating you will work through to more advanced skating moves. From here you will learn how to get maximum performance and efficiency on the ice.

As players master the technical skills pucks and rings are added to increase the challenge.

When skaters have a firm foundation of skill they are challenged to think and react faster using a variety of over speed training drills to push them out of their comfort zone.

Testimonial

I have tried all of the power skating options in Calgary and Lisa by far offers the best teacher to student ratio (usually 4-1), the best value, and she genuinely cares about the kids and it shows. She knows both my kids by name and they both love her classes. Both my son and daughter have been in her classes since Timbits and they both skate at the top of their age group. Lisa has both young men and women who are exceptional skaters to assist her and she moves between the groups emphasizing the specific skills. If you are looking for a power skating instructor for your son or daughter Lisa is an outstanding choice.
